Disney and Pixar's Turning Red has gotten its home video release date. Following its premiere on Disney+, the movie will be released digitally on April 26 with a release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 3, 2022. The home entertainment release includes plenty of bonus features, including seven deleted scenes, three featurettes, and audio commentary with director Domee Shi. Shi directs Turning Red using a script co-written with Julia Cho based on a story by Shi, Cho, and Sarah Streicher. The film features the voice talents of Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Ava Morse, Hyein Park, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Orion Lee, and Tristan Allerick Chen. You can read the official synopsis below.

In Disney and Pixar’s Turning Red, confident, dorky 13-year-old Mei must balance being a dutiful daughter with the chaos of adolescence. Her slightly overbearing mom is never far from her daughter. And, as if changes to Mei’s interests, relationships and body aren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited, she “poofs” into a giant red panda!

While you can stream Turning Red on Disney+, it won't come with the loads of bonus features that are included on the home video release. The deleted scenes and audio commentary, coupled with the featurettes and BTS footage, provide fans with a deep dive into the creation of the film.
