Turtle Power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Documentary DVD

Celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have their entire history put on display in the new documentary Turtle Power. The film charts the iconic franchise's roots as a black and white comic book self-published by creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, following it through its meteoric rise as an animated TV series and a live-action movie saga, to its current iteration as a Nickelodeon show and a new Michael Bay big screen reboot.

This is the whole story! Turtle Power: The Definitive History of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started production nearly five years ago, in 2009, and since that time, producers Randall Lobb, Isaac Elliott-Fisher and Mark Hussey have amassed hundreds of hours of interviews with people from every corner of the Turtle world, including Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the people behind the original Playmates toy line, and even comedian Michael Ian Black who dropped out of college to play Raphael in a promotional road tour.

Turtle Power: The Definitive History of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on DVD August 12, four days after the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theaters everywhere on August 8.
