It's been a good year for fans of the cult classic TV series Twin Peaks, with the release of the long-awaited Blu-ray boxed set Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery. Today, series co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost sent out identical and cryptic tweets at the exact same time (8:30 AM PT/11:30 AM ET), which has many fans speculating that a reboot of the show may be in the works.

Here's what both David Lynch and Mark Frost tweeted out to their followers this morning.

The line "That gum you like is going to come back in style" is from the Season 2 episode "Arbitrary Law", which a waiter at The Roadhouse says to Leland Palmer (Ray Wise). Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) also heard that line in a dream, which leads him to believe that Leland is the host of BOB. It's also worth noting that 11:30 AM is the exact time that Dale Cooper enters the town of Twin Peaks.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet, but the fact that both creators sent out the exact same tweets at the exact same time is peculiar indeed. Welcome to Twin Peaks also pointed out a line from the show, uttered by Kyle MacLachlan's Dale Cooper, that may indicate their tweets were not coincidental.

"When two separate events occur simultaneously pertaining to the same object of inquiry we must always pay strict attention!"

The site also pointed out that David Lynch tried to answer a "tricky question" about Twin Peaks coming back, during a Q&A session at the Lucca Film Festival just a few days ago.

"This is a tricky question. I have always said I love a continuing story. To love a world and be able to go deeper and deeper into that world. So, there's always a possibility, and you just have to wait and see."

To add even more speculative fuel to the fire, both David Lynch and Kyle MacLachlan were recently spotted having lunch together, which you can see in the tweet below.
