Gunslinging, cowboy hats, and revenge are back in the upcoming Western outing, Two Sinners and a Mule. We can now share an exclusive clip from the movie courtesy of Lionsgate, which teases this tale of two ladies of pleasure who are kicked out of town and run across a bounty hunter. Joining forces, the ladies and the lawman head off the hunt down a murderous bandit. Check out a clip from Two Sinners and a Mule below.

Kicked out of a small Western town for sinful behavior, free-spirited Alice and Nora set out for Virginia City to pursue their dream of opening a restaurant. Out on the prairie, they come across an injured bounty hunter named Elden. Hoping to share in the reward, they nurse Elden back to health and help him stalk his prey, Grimes. But as Nora and Alice both develop feelings for Elden, no one notices that Grimes is now on their tail, and the hunters become the hunted.

Directed by Raliegh Wilson in his directorial debut, Two Sinners and a Mule stars Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, Violent Night), Chantelle Albers (Love and Love Not, In Search of Fellini), Hannah James (Outlander, Mercy Street), and Buck Taylor (Cowboys & Aliens, Tombstone).

Two Sinners and a Mule is scheduled to be released in select theaters and on Digital, and On Demand on April 21 followed by a DVD release on May 30.

Once the dominating genre (the onslaught of Westerns is often compared to the current popularity of comic book movies), the Western remains a cinematic favorite for many, and has seen something of a surge in recent years. This year has plenty in store for Western movie fans, with beloved actor and Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage having already starred in two of them.

Cage’s first effort, The Old Way, finds the actor leaning into the best of the Western tropes and starring as a retired gunman on a mission to find the outlaws who killed his wife. The second Nic Cage Western, Butcher's Crossing, meanwhile is directed by Gabe Polsky and is based on the 1960 novel of the same name by John Edward Williams. Butcher’s Crossing is very different to The Old Way and finds The White Lotus star Fred Hechinger at the center of this story of a young Harvard student who leaves his life behind to explore the American West.

Moving along from Nicolas Cage (if we must), this year will also see the release of Surrounded starring Marvel’s Letitia Wright alongside Jamie Bell, Jeffrey Donovan, Brett Gelman, and Michael K. Williams in his final performance. Set five years after the Civil War, Surrounded follows freedwoman and former Buffalo Soldier Moses “Mo” Washington as she disguises herself as a man and travels west to lay claim on a gold mine. Finding herself ambushed, Mo is forced to hold legendary outlaw Tommy Walsh captive while the remaining surviving passengers seek out help.

The likes of The Redeemer, Dead Man’s Hand, and Gunfight at Rio Bravo are also expected to be released this year, alongside Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Western crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow and Robert De Niro, Killers of the Flower Moon will center on a series of Oklahoma murders in the Osage Nation during the 1920s, which were committed after oil was discovered on tribal land.
