It took a Tyler Perry comedy to knock two stoners off the DVD sales charts this week. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys was the top-selling DVD for the week ending January 18. The new Tyler Perry film beat out three other newcomers who all fared well on the charts also. My Best Friend's Girl finished in third place on the sales charts, followed by the horror film Mirrors in fourth place and the Western Appaloosa in fifth place.

While Pineapple Express slipped to second place in the sales charts, it did keep its crown as the top rental this week. My Best Friend's Girl debuted in second place on the rental charts while Mirrors took fourth place, behind Righteous Kill.

The Blu-ray charts saw yet another return of a BD mainstay with The Dark Knight returning to the top spot in the Blu-ray sales charts. Pineapple Express dropped to second place on the charts in its second week on the shelves.
