Under its new packed with the WGA, United Artists is developing an Americanized remake of the Spanish film Time Crimes (Los Cronocrimenes). According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be produced by Steve Zaillian.

The original film, which was written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, follows the adventures of a man that travels back in time by one hour and then finds himself facing multiple dangers. In this jigsaw puzzle of a thriller, the man must confront his own doppelganger in a fight to the death.

The original film will be playing at Sundance this week. The U.S. version does not have a set start date at this time.
