After unveiling a season 3 teaser at South by Southwest for the Emmy-nominated Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, based on the Eisner-winning comic by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, Elliot Page shared a post on Twitter introducing fans of the Hargreeves family to Viktor Hargreeves.Including a photo, Page Tweeted, "Meet Viktor Hargreeves."

With the setting for the next installment being based on Way's third Umbrella Academy comic book, Hotel Oblivion: where the Hargreeves can check in, but they can never leave, it looks like Viktor is enjoying a steaming hot cup o' Joe.

In addition, Netflix tweeted out support for the transgender actor, saying, "Welcome to the family, Viktor — we’re so happy you’re here."

In the final season of The Umbrella Academy, Viktor Hargreeves and the rest of the Umbrella Academy must face off against an entirely new group of superpowered individuals, the Sparrow Academy, who they first met at the end of the second season. The Sparrow Academy is formed by a still-alive Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) in an alternate universe.

The official Netflix synopsis for The Umbrella Academy season 3 reads:

After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns. Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own – and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?

The series arrives on June 22, 2022, and will be streaming on Netflix. In addition to Page as Viktor and Feore as Reginald, the third season stars Tom Hopper as Luther Hargreeves, David Castañeda as Diego Hargreeves, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison Hargreeves, Robert Sheehan as Klaus Hargreeves, Aidan Gallagher as Number Five, and Ritu Arya as Lila Pitts.

Season 3 will introduce a now alive Justin H. Min as Sparrow #2, described as a "Machiavellian tactician." The other Sparrows include Justin Cornwell as Marcus, Britne Oldford as Fei, Genesis Rodriguez as Sloane, Jake Epstein as Designated Survivor, Cazzie David as Jayme, and the Dread-Inducing Psykronium Cube as Christopher.
