Christopher McQuarrie has just signed a nonexclusive first-look deal with United Artists. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deal follows Paul Haggis signing a nonexclusive deal for his Hwy61 Films banner. UA recently struck a deal with the WGA, allowing writers to continue working on their projects throughout the strike.

McQuarrie is currently producing the upcoming UA film Valkyrie which he co-wrote with Nathan Alexander and will be directed by frequent collaborator Bryan Singer.

McQuarrie's next project will be The Standford Prison Experiment, which he co-wrote and is signed to direct.
