According to The Hollywood Reporter, after hotly contested bidding wars, Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures are closing multimillion-dollar deals to pick up two spec scripts with Owen Wilson attached to star and produce.

Universal is picking up You, Me and Dupree by Michael LeSieur, paying about $1.75 million. Paramount Pictures, meanwhile, is paying a sum in the same neighborhood for Stalker: A Love Story, by writers Michael Carnes and Josh Gilbert. The figures increase substantially should the movies get made. Wilson was involved in the development of both projects.
