Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory have sold their new comedy Pros to Universal Pictures. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mary Parent and Scott Stuber plan on producing the project.
The film is centered around a fire that destroys the local YMCA tennis courts. When the poor kids are allowed to use the local country club as practicing space, a tennis war breaks out between them and the snobby playboys at the club.
Huyck stated, "We're fascinated by country club tennis pros. There's something magnificent about their louche yet shabby lifestyle. They're both sexy and sad."
The film is set to go into production before the end of the year.
