Universal Pictures has issued three release dates for unspecified horror projects that hail from producer Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions company. The producer has a first-look deal with Universal that runs until 2016.

The first project will be released on September 25, 2015, with the movie going up against Sony Animation's Hotel Transylvania 2 and Warner Bros.' The Intern. The second movie will hit theaters on January 8, 2016, competing with Focus Features' The Forest, while the third horror film set for October 21, 2016, does not have any direct competition at this time.

What could these projects be? It's possible that the studio has already committed to another sequel for last year's successful thriller The Purge, although that hasn't been confirmed. Universal and Blumhouse will release The Purge: Anarchy on July 18.

We'll keep you posted about any further developments regarding these new movies from Blumhouse Productions.
