Universal Pictures, in association with Larger Than Life, has bought the pitch Sightings from writer Dean DeBlois (Lilo & Stitch); DeBlois will also serve as executive producer.

The live-action children's film follows a group of kids who discover something never seen by man before while exploring coves and inlets in the Florida Keys, says Variety.

No production schedule has been set for Sightings.
