From the Executive Producer of Paranormal Activity and Insidious comes The Unspoken, an eerie thrill ride into the horror that lurks in an unsuspecting small town. The first trailer has arrived below, along with the latest poster. This new horror-thriller will hit theaters and VOD formats on October 28.

In 1997 the close-knit Anderson family vanished from their country home without a trace, without an explanation. No bodies were ever found and for 17 years the house has remained undisturbed...Until now. A sinister tale of haunting and murder, The Unspoken is a refreshing twist on the horror genre just in time for Halloween. This thriller was executive produced by Steven Schneider, one of the producers behind Paranormal Activity, Insidious and The Conjuring franchises, just to name a few.

Directed by Award-winning filmmaker Sheldon Wilson (Kaw, Shallow Ground) and starring Neal McDonough (Suits, Arrow), Jodelle Ferland (Silent Hill), Sunny Suljic, and Matt Bellefleur, The Unspoken hits theaters and VOD on October 28th through Starz Media! The movie will go up against Sony Pictures' Inferno, the latest Robert Langdon adventure starring Tom Hanks, although The Unspoken will not get a wide release like Inferno. Also arriving in limited release that weekend is FIP's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Magnolia's Gimme Danger and Romance Argentum's New Life.

Sheldon Wilson has also directed a number of TV movies such as Scarecrow, Cold Spring, Mega Cyclone and Snowmageddon. His other feature credits including Kaw, Shallow Ground, Night Class and Shark Killer. He has also produced the documentary Once Upon a Crime: The Borrelli Davis Conspiracy.

With a limited release, it seems unlikely that this horror thriller will make a huge dent at the box office this Halloween, it may certainly fare well on VOD formats. Then again, there aren't any other horror movies in theaters that weekend, so it may pull off a box office surprise. Take a look at the first footage and poster for The Unspoken below.
