Atlas Entertainment has made a pre-emptive pitch sale to New Line Cinema and is currently developing a script based on the life of Chris Paciello, the nightclub impresario who transformed the Miami club scene.

Emmy winning writer Adam Mazer (HBO's You Don't Know Jack) has been tapped to write the original screenplay. Charles Roven, William Green, Richard Suckle will produce for Atlas. The company's Andy Horwitz will co-produce. New Line Cinema's studio executives Richard Brener and Walter Hamada will oversee production for the company.

The Untitled Chris Paciello Project, is based on the true story of Paciello, the charismatic nightclub owner, who in the 1990's became the "King of Miami" and turned South Beach into the hottest party destination in the world.

Screenwriter Adam Mazer is currently in production on Empire State, directed by Dito Montiel and starring Dwayne Johnson, Liam Hemsworth, and Emma Roberts. Mazer won an Emmy Award for Barry Levinson's You Don't Know Jack at HBO Films starring Al Pacino in his SAG, Emmy, and Golden Globe winning performance. Mazer is currently developing a new series for HBO called Big Girls with Benjamin Silverman and Charlie Corwin producing. Mazer is repped by ICM and Inphenate.
