Nancy Meyers has a new film coming out, but it will be overseen by a different studio. According to Variety, Nancy Meyers new untitled film will be handled by Universal Pictures. Her last two films, The Holiday and Something's Gotta Give were distributed through Columbia.

Meyers said that the script will be completed by August and she is keeping the plot tightly under wraps. She did say that it would involve a marriage and the movie would follow the relationship over several years. She also mentioned that there will be sizeable parts for a woman and two men.

"We consider it a coup to have her make the movie here," said Universal Pictures chairman Marc Shmuger. "She is a singular voice."

Scott Rudin will produce the film. Although this is Meyers and Rudin's first collaboration, Meyers had been consulting with Rudin on her projects over the past 20 years.
