UPDATE: (8/24/10 9:45 AM PST)The Guardian is now reporting that Angelina Jolie will write the film and make her directorial debut on the untitled project. It was also stated that she will not appear as an actress in the film.

The project will be budgeted at $15 million and it wasn't said if a studio is involved at this point or not. We'll continue to keep you posted with the status of Angelina Jolie directorial debut as soon as more information comes in.

Original Story: Actress Angelina Jolie recently told Reuters that she will begin filming on a movie set during the Bosnian war that lasted from 1992 to 1995. The actress recently visited the Bosnian capitol of Sarajevo where she said she would start shooting this film in the fall. Here's an excerpt from the article.

"The film is a love story, not a political statement," the statement said."

She also said that she would reach out to local Bosnian actors to make up the cast.

"I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can," Jolie said."

The story will revolve around a young couple who meet on the eve of the Bosnian war, and how the war affects their relationship.
