Casting on the Vacation reboot continues to hum along, with Leslie Mann in talks to play Audrey Griswold, daughter of Clark and Ellen and sister to Rusty.

Ed Helms is the star of the movie, playing Rusty Griswold, as he and his wife (Christina Applegate) plan their own WallyWorld vacation. The film will also include appearances by original stars Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo as the Griswold Grandparents.

Vacation begins shooting next week in Louisiana. Chris Hemsworth is in negotiations to star as Aubrey's boyfriend. And Charlie Day will play a river guide.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will make their joint directorial debut on the comedy from a screenplay they wrote themselves. John Hughes wrote the original 1983 Vacation, which was directed by Harold Ramis.

Leslie Mann will be the fifth actress to play Audrey Griswold. Dana Barron originated the role in the first installment, and returned to reprise the character in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure. Dana Hill was the second actress to take on the role, appearing in 1985's European Vacation. Juliette Lewis played Audrey in 1989's Christmas Vacation. And Marisol Nichols was the final actress to take on the character in 1997's Vegas Vacation.

In the update, Audrey will be married to Chris Hemsworth's Stone Crandall, an up-and-coming news anchorman.
