Last month we reported that Horrible Bosses writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein will write and direct the Vacation reboot. During PaleyFest last week, John Francis Daley revealed he has roles written for Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo to return as Clark and Ellen Griswold.

"There will be no recasting, except for the fact that Rusty will now be grown up. We don't know who will be playing him, but we intend to have a part for Clark Griswold. Chevy, we're hoping he'll be down to come back, and Beverly D'Angelo as well."

The story will center on Rusty Griswold, who is all grown up and makes plans to take his own family on their first vacation together, to visit Wally World before the amusement park shuts its doors for good. John Francis Daley also talked about stepping in to direct alongside Jonathan M. Goldstein

"It is something that we've been warned not to screw up. We have confidence that there's still a lot to tell in the story of the Griswolds. And we've been involved with it for so long, it felt like the natural next step to direct."

John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein also wrote the screenplays for Burt Wonderstone and a sequel to Horrible Bosses. No production schedule was given for the Vacation reboot.
