Last week, The Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola revealed that she is pregnant, which has lead to countless fans offering their theories about how her pregnancy will affect the show. Some have theorized that her character Caroline Forbes will have her own baby with Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), but that has yet to be confirmed. During an interview with TV Line, the actress reveals that the producers have been nothing but supportive about her pregnancy, but she doesn't know how it will be written into the show.

"Production has known about our exciting news and there's been a lot of support. They already knew where this season was going, and it's kind of the same as every other year: We start the beginning of the season asking the writers a lot of questions about what's going to happen. then halfway through the season, it's completely different. Julie Plec and Caroline Dries are the best people to ask about [whether or not her pregnancy will be written into the show.] To be honest, I'm along for the ride just like the viewers are."

She did clarify, though, that her pregnancy doesn't mean we'll be seeing less of Caroline in The Vampire Diaries. The actress added that her character normally isn't featured in every single episode anyway, but she reiterates that every plan the writers hatch out at the beginning of each season, is always changed drastically by the end of that season. Here's what she had to say about the unpredictable nature of the TV series.

"Caroline's not always in every episode anyway, so that helps a little bit, but Caroline has, so far, been a really big part of the season. Every single season, we think we know the way it's going to go, but it always changes by the end. It could really go anywhere."

Since production is already under way on The Vampire Diaries Season 7, the actress does know a little about what fans can expect this season. She clarifies that Caroline and other characters will keep their promise to Elena (Nina Dobrev), writing diary entries that will fill her in on what she's been missing during her 60-year hibernation. Here's what she had to say about Caroline becoming a "badass."

"We're going to see Caroline get her bite back. We'll see her coming in as a badass, and sometimes she might act without thinking things totally through. It is The Vampire Diaries, so the diaries will live on. The flash-forwards and the diary moments are a really beautiful addition to the season."
