According to Variety, Vanessa Redgrave, Leslie Phillips and Richard Griffiths have joined the cast of Roger Michell's London-set comedy Venus.

Phillips ("Out of Africa") and Peter O'Toole play seasoned if unsuccessful thesps in their 70s who are forced to re-evaluate their lives after the introduction of an inquisitive young woman, played by newcomer Jodie Whittaker.

The eight-week Venus shoot kicked off today in and around London and at Ealing Studios.
