From the team that brought us Eastbound & Down comes HBO's latest comedy series Vice Principals. The first trailer has arrived, and it looks like it will be another smash cult hit! This sneak peek puts a spotlight on the 'real' political showdown that will be brewing in our nation later this year. And it promises to be an all-out war!

Danny McBride is trading baseball All-Star Kenny Powers for High School Vice Principle Neil Gamby. In the first few seconds of this teaser, he asks a school cafeteria worker who they'll be voting for in the race for High School Principle. Judging from Gamby's treatment as he walks amongst the lunch tables, he does not get the answer he's looking for.

Neil will be going head-to-head with other VP hopeful Lee Russell, played by Justified and The Hateful Eight star Walton Goggins. And it will be quite the power struggle. Also appearing in this first trailer are a number of sitcom vets that are sure to keep comedy fans happy. Starring alongside Walton Goggins and Danny McBride will be Cougar Town's Busy Philipps, The New Normal's Georgia King and Devious Maids star Kimberly Hebert Gregory.

Vice Principals is making its big debut on HBO this July, while the U.S. Presidential race expected to be in full swing. The half-hour comedy is a one-camera venture. The entire series will run a total of 18 episodes. The first nine will debut as Season 1, with the next nine arriving in 2017 as Season 2.

Vice Principals comes from co-creators Danny McBride and Jody Hill, the two men responsible for Eastbound & Down. Also starring in the show is Shea Whigham, with special appearances from Will Ferrell and Bill Murray. The production brings Danny McBride and Jody Hill back to their South Carolina stomping grounds. HBO has not set a release date yet, but you can take a look at the first footage here.
