Vin Diesel took to his Facebook page earlier today to confirm that Fast & Furious 7 will now be released on April 10, 2015. Take a look at the photo featuring the actor shooting his final scene with the late Paul Walker, along with his statement.

"The last scene we filmed together...

There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared... in the film we were now completing... the magic captured... and, in just how far we've come...

Fast & Furious 7 will be released...

April 10th 2015!

P.s. He'd want you to know first..."

Fast & Furious 7

Universal Pictures shut down production on the sequel earlier this month, just days after the tragic death of Paul Walker. Less than one week later, 20th Century Fox moved Dawn of the Planet of the Apes into Fast & Furious 7's original July 11, 2014 release date. Although the studio never revealed that they would move out of that date, many thought that the production wouldn't completed in time. As of now, Fast & Furious 7 is the only movie currently occupying the April 10, 2015 release date.

The studio still hasn't confirmed when production may start up again, although we reported last week that Universal is hoping to resume production next month, pending studio approval of a new script rewrite by Chris Morgan. Another report from last week revealed that Universal is considering using Paul Walker's younger brother Cody Walker to fill in for the late actor when shooting begins, although that has not been confirmed.
