Wilson Fisk actor Vincent D'Onofrio recently weighed in on who would win in a fight between Kingpin and Thanos. With the Netflix's Daredevil criminal mastermind's entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Hawkeye, several fans are once again asking the age-old question of "who would win in a fight" in a hypothetical stand-off between Kingpin and some of the other big bads in the franchise, especially the Mad Titan himself. In an interview with Comicbook.com's ComicBook Nation podcast, D'Onofrio had a chance to address fan theories about whether Kingpin or Thanos would win. To no one's surprise, the Kingpin actor is betting on himself.

Over the last 20 years, Marvel Studios has been building up one of the greatest villains in cinematic history, but with the snap of a reformed arms dealer's fingers, aka Iron Man, Thanos turned to dust and left a power void in the MCU that's waiting to be filled. Some fans think that Kingpin will fill that void, arguing The Boss is strong enough to take out the Mad Titan. To see what D'Onofrio thinks about his chances of filling the power void Thanos left behind, the Wilson Fisk actor was asked during the podcast about who would win between Thanos and Kingpin in a cage fight without weapons or aid.

In response, D'Onofrio succinctly said, "I mean, there's nobody that can beat Fisk. Nobody."

That's pretty authoritative, especially since D'Onofrio's Fisk was shot by his adopted daughter Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) in the Hawkeye finale. Although if the upcoming Echo series on Disney+ follows the Marvel Comics storyline in 1998's Daredevil #15 written by David Mack and drawn by David Ross, Maya doesn't kill Kingpin; she only blinds him. Then, Echo leaves the United States to heal from her trauma before returning home to continue a messed-up game of chess with her adopted father before giving up on Wilson Fisk for good.

Wilson Fisk Returns in Hawkeye

D'Onofrio played Wilson Fisk in all three seasons of Daredevil. But after Netflix canceled the series in 2018, it was unclear if the actor would ever return to Marvel to reprise the role. Luckily for fans, Wilson Fisk returned in Hawkeye on Disney+ in December 2021, confirming D'Onofrio as Kingpin in the MCU. In addition to Charlie Cox as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the inclusion of Wilson Fisk in Hawkeye makes it more likely that some of the heroes and villains from the Netflix Marvel shows will return to the MCU.

"You know I learned recently, a couple of the fans, they were very excited about it, they were commenting about the strength that I have," D'Onofrio explained. "Because I'm throwing Kate [Bishop] around and stuff. But, I totally forgot. I just saw a clip on Twitter of me and Charlie [Cox] fighting in [Stephen] DeKnight's first season. Obviously, he's an incredible director. He helped develop the character of Wilson Fisk."

"There's a scene that we shot on an alley, in a street in Brooklyn, where I'm literally throwing Daredevil (Charlie) through the air," he added. "Like, I'm picking him up and swinging him 15 feet into a garbage can. I do it a few times in that fight. It's no different, it's really not. So, I keep saying that it's the same Fisk that was in DareDevil. It's the same canon, but people get confused about things. I understand."
