Following the first poster released earlier this week, Universal Pictures has debuted the new trailer for The Visit, the latest from M. Night Shyamalan. This project brings the filmmaker back to the horror genre, after having tackled big-budget fare such as The Last Airbender and After Earth. Universal picked up the project back in November, setting a September 11 release date.

Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable) and producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Insidious series) welcome you to Universal Pictures' The Visit. Shyamalan returns to his roots with the terrifying story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents' remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.

The cast is lead by Kathryn Hahn and Ed Oxenbould, with Erica Lynne Marszalek, Peter McRobbie, Olivia DeJonge, Deanna Dunagan, Benjamin Kanes, Jon Douglas Rainey, Brian Gildea and Shawn Gonzalez rounding out the supporting cast. M. Night Shyamalan produces The Visit through his Blinding Edge Pictures, while Jason Blum produces through his Blumhouse Productions alongside Marc Bienstock (Quarantine 2: Terminal).
