The cast has been announced for Peacock's first-ever adult animated series, In the Know. According to Variety, Zach Woods is set to star, with other cast members including Mike Judge, J. Smith-Cameron, Carl Tart, Caitlin Riley, and Charlie Bushnell.

Zach Woods gained fame for his role as Gabe Lewis in the legendary sitcom The Office, and he later starred in Silicon Valley and Avenue 5. He's no stranger to animation, having lent his voice to The Lego Ninjago Movie, The Angry Bids Movie 2, and Big Mouth. Woods has the lead role as the voice of Lauren Caspian, an NPR host who also happens to be a puppet. His character will be interviewing real celebrity guests, so the show will be a combination of live-action and animation, similar to Space Jam and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

His co-stars, also puppets, will serve as staff members for the show. Carl Tart, who is part of the main cast in the sitcom Grand Crew, will voice In The Know's sound engineer. Caitlin Riley will portray the show's fact-checker, and Charlie Bushnell will appear as their college intern.

The legendary Mike Judge helms the show alongside Zach Woods, and will similarly voice one of the characters as well. Judge is known for creating Beavis and Butt-Head in the 90s along with its recent reboot season. Another one of his classic series, King of the Hill, is also getting a revival. While he primarily works in animation, he's also directed the live-action comedies Office Space and Idiocracy. He co-created Silicon Valley, which is where his friendship with Zach Woods began.

The series was announced last fall, but new details are being revealed, including the official synopsis:

"Lauren Caspian is NPR’s third most popular host. He’s a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod, just like you and me. He’s also a stop motion puppet. Each episode follows the making of an episode of Lauren’s show In the Know, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real world human guests. Lauren collaborates with a diverse crew of NPR staff. They are also puppets and nimrods."

In The Know does not have a release date yet. It will be created by Zach Woods and Mike Judge, who will also serve as voice actors alongside co-stars J. Smith-Cameron, Carl Tart, Caitlin Riley, and Charlie Bushnell. Executive producers include Dustin Davis, Greg Daniels, Corey Campodonico, and Alexander Bulkley.
