Walken: Oscar winning actor Christopher Walken who will next appear in Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, has signed on to co-star with "The Rock" in Helldorado for director Peter Berg. Berg, an actor himself, has starred in such films as Copland, and recently guest starred on the hit series Alias. Seann William Scott is also in negotiations to join the western.
The Day After Tomorrow: Jake Gyllenhaal, who hit with the oddly sublime Donnie Darko, is in final talks to play the son of Dennis Quaid in Fox's big-budget actioner to be directed by Roland Emmerich. Gyllenhaal will next be seen starring with Oscar winners Dustin Hoffman and Susan Sarandon in Moonlight Mile.
Aaliyah: Luis Morales, pilot of the plane which crashed killing himself and eight others including rising star Aaliyah, was found to have both cocaine and alcohol in his system at the time of the crash. This information comes from the coroner's autopsy report which has just been released. Speculation since the August crash had been set simply on pilot error in relation to the weight of the plane, and specifically the luggage. Seems that there were even more tragic decisions made. As this news comes out, Lights Out would like to again offer our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those lost.
T3: A few websites have reported that a shutdown has occurred on the set of the Schwarzenegger film. In a statement released to the press, the producer's have denied this. Our own Lights Out tipsters have also denied these reports and wanted to let us know that, "things are actually going quite smoothly for a film this size."
