Which of your favorite Walking Dead characters won't make it out of Season 5 alive this year? That's a question that will only be answered as AMC premieres each new episode this fall. But franchise creator Robert Kirkman knows. In fact, he already knows when each main character is going to die beyond the next season, as the fate of the entire survivor crew has already been meticulously planned out.

That doesn't mean he'll stand by this timeline completely. Sometimes a certain character gets a reprieve, which has happened in seasons past. But sooner or later, everyone, including the much beloved Daryl Dixon, will dance with the Reaper. And if you read the comic books, you kind of have an idea who's next. Though the creative team behind The Walking Dead isn't intent on sticking as close to the source material as some might hope.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly Radio, Robert Kirkman was asked if it's tough to say goodbye to a longtime cast member. He explains,

""It's kinda worse than that. Because I got a pretty good idea when all of them are dying. To a certain extent, if we follow the comic, like possibly even more than [showrunner] Scott [M. Gimple] knows."

Robert Kirkman then went through each character as if they were standing in the room, pointing his finger at the unnamed individuals who will next meet their demise:

""So I'm always like...two years, three years, six months, two weeks, oh, God this is awful! It's really rough. Doing the comic, it was fine because it was just lines on a paper. Whatever. We're killing that guy. Cool. But the show, it sucks because we all work together, we hang out, and have a great time. But, you know, the story's gotta get done and people gots to die, as I like to say. It's pretty rough."

Making matters worse for the creator and his showrunner is the fact that they cannot tell a cast member they are next in line for death's door, because of the constantly changing storyline. While anyone's number may be up at any minute, the writers always have the option to change their minds and save someone until a future date.

"You can't tell 'em. Because we change our minds all the time. And that's the other really bad thing about it. We can't really give them that much warning because there's always a chance that we'll get into actually writing the scripts after we plan things out and we're like, 'Nope, that character's living.' Which has happened many times. So we don't want to have many false news giving situations."

Who do you want to see live during this upcoming Season 5? And who's time do you think should finally come? Glen, Maggie, Rick...Will they kill Daryl? Robert Kirkman teases anything is possible, but only he knows for sure.
