The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere will finally reveal the one big secret fans have been waiting months for, the identity of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) victim. It's a secret that the cast and crew will have to keep for another month or so, but series star Lennie James has come up with a brilliant method to avoid leaking this huge secret. The actor revealed in a recent interview that there have been no shortage of fans who have tried to come up with "clever" ways to get him to divulge the information.

Earlier this week, executive producer Greg Nicotero may have let a huge spoiler slip out, that there may be more than one victim in the Season 7 premiere. There have already been rumors that Steven Yeun (Glenn) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie) may have been killed, since they haven't been seen on set since the second and third episodes, respectively. Fans have been going to great lengths to try and uncover this secret, but Lennie James told Entertainment Weekly that he has come up with a way to avoid letting the secret slip. Here's what he had to say about his interactions with fans, friends and family members who all want the inside scoop.

"Everybody tries to get clever about it. So everybody tries to kind of catch you out. Everybody asks who you're filming with this particular day, or 'Who did you see today?' Or 'Who did you have dinner with today?' Or 'Please send such and such my love' - all trying to figure out what your reaction is going to be. And these are members of the public, these are friends of mine, these are members of my family all trying to ask the question that may well kind of catch you out. I've kind of done two things. One, I've stopped speaking to people. And two, you have to get very single-minded about protecting this particular story line and trying your best to stay true to it everywhere. People will just whisper something in your ear when you're at the store or when you're at the supermarket thinking that you'll turn around and divulge some piece of information, but so far I think I'm doing okay."

Lennie James' character Morgan is one of the few characters we know for sure wasn't killed by Negan's bat, because he wasn't one of the characters caught by Negan and his group The Saviors. Both Morgan and Carol (Melissa McBride) met two unnamed characters who many believe were part of The Kingdom, which is lead by Ezekiel (Khary Payton). Lennie James revealed how he responds to fans who tell him that at least we know for sure Morgan isn't dead.

"It's weird because there have been a few people who have said, 'Well at least you're not dead, so we know that for sure.' And I go, 'Well you kind of know that for sure because I'm not one of the people knelt down in front of Negan.' I mean, that would have to be a really big bat for him to swing it from where he is and for it to hit me where I am. So yeah, it's no great revelation. I at least make it past that particular situation."

The first clip from The Walking Dead Season 7 was released last month, which teased that fan-favorite character Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) may be Negan's victim. While we don't see Daryl or Negan in the clip, we do see the Savior Dwight (Austin Amelio), who is riding Daryl's motorcycle and wearing Daryl's iconic vest, which the character is seldom seen without. We'll find out for sure who is on the other end of Negan's bat Lucille when The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere airs Sunday, October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC.
