Following the new video that debuted earlier this week, which showed the first two minutes of the midseason premiere, Entertainment Weekly has released the cover from this week's issue featuring The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon. The magazine has also released new character portraits featuring Daryl, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan).
After the tragic events of the mid-season finale - as well as losing the possibility of a cure in Washington, DC - Rick Grimes' band of survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day-to-day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope. Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp onto what little they have left. The opening scene released earlier this week teased that Rick and his group may be heading to Richmond, Virginia, since that is where Noah (Tyler James Williams) planned on escaping to with Beth (Emily Kinney), before her tragic death in the midseason finale.
Check out the portraits below, before tuning in to the midseason premiere, "What Happened and What's Going On", on Sunday, February 8 at 9 PM ET on AMC. How do you think the group will recover from their latest tragedy? Is this trip to Richmond the best thing for the group at this point in the series? Let us know what you think, and stay tuned for more footage and images as we get closer and closer to The Walking Dead's return.
