Following the trailer that debuted earlier this month, AMC has released even more new footage from The Walking Dead, which kicks off the back half of Season 5 with the midseason premiere Sunday, February 8 at 9 PM ET on AMC. This latest look at the returning horror favorite features Rick (Andrew Lincoln) encouraging his group to do what they can to carry on. They must survive before they can truly "live." Rick also stresses that he knows they will be 'OK', because this is their 'way'. His inspirational speech is set against scenes of the group taking on a number of zombies. Of course, these quick flashes are all rather vague, though it seems that they may be in more danger than ever, now that they're back on the road.
It isn't known exactly how much time has passed between the midseason finale, "Coda", where the group lost yet another one of their beloved members, and the midseason premiere, but we know that they are searching for a new home, now that their plans of going to Washington D.C. have been dashed. Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp onto what little they have left.
Check out this look at The Walking Dead, as we count down the days to the hit AMC show's return in just a few short weeks. Will the group's fragile mental state continue to erode as they search for a new home? Or will they continue to survive the best way they know how? We'll find out for sure on February 8.
