As has come to be expected, The Walking Dead Season 6 finale has been expanded to 90 minutes from its usual 60 minute air time. This particular episode promises to be a very brutal one, and it's likely to be the last for at least two fan favorites. Perhaps even more. The extra 30 minutes is being welcomed by fans, who will surely need time to recuperate from all the bloodshed that is bound to drench the small screen.

The Walking Dead has fallen into the habit of presenting special extended episodes. The Walking Dead Season 5 finale was 90 minutes, as was The Walking Dead Season 6 premiere. There have been a number of standalone episodes over the course of the past two years that have also gotten extended runtimes. The Walking Dead will air its final episode of Season 6 on April 3.

The Walking Dead Season 6 finale is titled Something to Fear. It will finally introduce the long-awaited comic book character Negan as played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. And in the comics, he is responsible for the death of Glenn. It has already been confirmed that this execution by baseball bat will not play out as it was originally presented to fans. While Steven Yeun's Glenn may be spared, no one else is safe! Anyone can go at any time, expect for Melissa Suzanne McBride's Carol, who has been confirmed as the only character who will never be killed off in the series.

After last night's Twice As Far, there are just two more episodes of The Walking Dead left in Season 6. The penultimate episode East airs this Sunday, March 27 at 9 PM. Airing last night, episode Twice As Far was yet another example of how the show manages to change iconic moments from Robert Kirkman's comic books. The show essentially changed a comic book moment where, in issue 98, Abraham Ford is killed out of the blue, when an arrow pierces his skull. Instead of Abraham, it was Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever), Alexandria's local doctor, who was struck by an arrow fired by the Savior Dwight (Austin Amelio), who had stolen Daryl's crossbow and motorcycle earlier this season, after Daryl had saved him. After Denise is killed, Dwight and his group of Saviors ambush Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Rosita (Christian Serratos).

The end of last night's episode also featured another bombshell, when Carol (Melissa Suzanne McBride) left a note for her new boyfriend Tobin (Jason Douglas), stating she was leaving Alexandria and she doesn't want anyone to come looking for her. The preview for East shows Daryl leaving Alexandria on his own, presumably going to look for Carol. We also see that Michonne (Danai Gurira), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Rosita have left to look for Daryl, but they find his motorcycle hidden in the woods. It's worth noting that the synopsis for this episode teased a "horrible situation they may not be able to overcome." Could this mean that Daryl and or Carol are killed in this episode? Stay tuned for more from East airing this Sunday. And be sure to prepare for that 90 minute finale on Sunday, April 3. From here on out, everything changes and nothing will ever be the same.
