Zombie lovers are digging into AMC's new spinoff Fear the Walking Dead, which debuted over the weekend. But that show's arrival also means we're getting closer and closer to the Season 6 premiere of the flagship series The Walking Dead. While we wait for the October 11 premiere, AMC has released two new trailers, one of which features our favorite characters literally emerging from the shadows. Unfortunately, this video doesn't give us a look at any of the new faces fans will meet this season on The Walking Dead. We also get the first clip featuring Michael Cudlitz as Abraham and Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha as they go for a ride.

Among the new arrivals in Alexandria this year are Ethan Embry's Carter, who, as we saw in The Walking Dead Season 6 trailer released at Comic-Con last month, isn't a big fan of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Other new characters are Merritt Wever's Dr. Denise Cloyd and Corey Antonio Hawkins' Heath, an Alexandria supply runner. Along with the trailer, we also have news of yet another new casting addition. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple revealed during an unaired bonus scene of Sunday's Talking Dead special that Kenric Green has signed on to play Scott, a character from the comics. Here's what the showrunner had to say about the role.

"Scott is a character from the comic, played by Kenric Green, Sonequa Martin-Green's husband. He's fantastic, and it's cool to see another character from the book come to life, and that's probably all I should say."

In the comics, Scott is a supply runner who is smart, agile and knows the land, but he doesn't have the best run of luck. He is also best friends with Heath, a relationship that is tested in the comics. When we first meet Scott in the comics, he has suffered a broken leg while jumping off of a roof while on a run. Scott is mostly seen laid up recovering from his injuries in the comics, which leads to Heath teaming up with Glenn (Steven Yeun) on supply runs, which we saw in the Comic-Con trailer. It isn't known how many episodes the actor is signed on for, and it isn't known if he will meet the same fate as in the comics.

Check out the new trailers for this upcoming season, which stars The Walking Dead as Rick, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Lennie James as Morgan, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer. You can also check out the scene from Sunday night's Talking Dead, where Scott M. Gimple reveals Kenric Green's casting. Are you looking forward to The Walking Dead's return this fall?
