Following The Walking Dead Season 8 Comic-Con trailer that was unveiled last week during the show's annual Hall H panel, AMC has released four new photos from the upcoming season, slated to debut on Sunday, October 22 at 9 PM ET on AMC. The photos features characters from both sides of the impending "All Out War," as they get ready for battle. The photos include Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Dwight (Austin Amelio), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Tara (Alanna Masterson).

The photos debut just days after the worldwide reveal of the five-minute trailer for The Walking Dead, which gave fans a first look at the upcoming action-packed season. The trailer has thus far garnered more than 31 million views across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and AMC.com, alone. In the days leading up to Comic-Con, AMC released key art for the season along with the October 22nd Walking Dead Season 8 premiere date, which coincides with the series' 100th episode. This new season pits both Rick and Negan's sides against each other in an All Out War, although the final scene from the trailer still has fans scratching their heads.

The new trailer featured five minutes of new footage, with a small bonus scene at the end which teases a huge Walking Dead time jump, featuring Rick laying in bed with a cane by his side, with a graying beard, hinting that this is several years down the road. What's interesting is, at the end of the All Out War comics, the story leaps ahead in time by two years, showing both sides have been at peace this whole time, before a new conflict arises. While it's possible that this scene could indicate that a time jump is afoot, it seems to be much further ahead then just two years, so perhaps some big changes from the comics are at hand.

The hit series is also coming off a tragedy, after Walking Dead stuntman John Bernecker passed away at just 33 years of age, after an on-set accident where he fell more than 30 feet to his death. The actor was rehearsing a fight scene on the Atlanta set when he fell from a balcony, just barely missing the landing cushion, falling to the concrete floor. Production was shut down for a few days following the accident, with the cast and crew sending out condolences through social media to pay tribute to the young stuntman. The delay will have no impact on the October 22 release date.

One of the first Walking Dead Season 8 set photos from May, just days after production got under way, showed that Rick may be taking the fight to the Saviors in the Season 8 premiere, hinting that he'll be attacking the Sanctuary, the Saviors headquarters. That plot point has yet to be confirmed, but we'll find out in just three short months when the Season 8 premiere debuts Sunday, October 22 at 9 PM ET on AMC. While we wait for more footage to arrive, take a look at these four new photos from The Walking Dead
