A piece of Breaking Bad history is now owned by the underpants company SAXX Underwear. Recently, several props from Breaking Bad had gone up for auction, and perhaps the most peculiar of the items on sale had been a pair of tighty-whities owned by Bryan Cranston's character, Walter White. This particular pair of undies was not the ones actually worn by Cranston in the pilot, as it was made as a matching pair to be seen in Walter's closet throughout the series. Ahead of the auction, the underpants had been estimated to sell for around $5,000.Now, the auction is over, and it's been revealed that the underpants have sold for much higher than those estimates. Auctioned by Propstore, the prop has sold for a staggering $32,500. While the company does not divulge the name of the winning bidder, SAXX Underwear has taken credit for purchasing the prop with a post on Twitter that teases more details coming soon about their plans for the underpants."We simply could not let another man subject his nether regions to these. Stay tuned, gentlemen," their tweet reads.

Some of the other items that were up for the recent auction include Skyler White's (Anna Gunn) cigarette packs, Jesse Pinkman's (Aaron Paul) bong, and a spare coppy of Walter White's Leaves of Grass book. Other items have been selling from the show at previous auctions as well. In January, it was reported that an El Camino used for the Netflix sequel movie El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie had been sold in New Mexico. Oddly enough, the fully drivable car sold for $23,650, considerably less than the pair of Walter White's undies.

There's interest in these kinds of props due to the continued popularity of Breaking Bad. While the series ended in 2013 after five acclaimed seasons, it has endured with fans rewatching the show on streaming. The spinoff series Better Call Saul, also found its own success before wrapping up its own six-season run last year. There are no immediate plans to develop any more TV shows or movies set in the Breaking Bad universe, but the fan base isn't going anywhere, and chances are we'll continue to see other items getting auctioned off from the show going for high prices.
