Warner Bros. has acquired the spec screenplay The Bermuda Triangle, written by Daniel Kunka (12 Rounds).

While most story details are being kept under wraps, the studio's plan is to use the legend of the Bermuda Triangle, the mysterious area where planes and ships have gone missing throughout the years, and turn it into an action franchise.

Charles Roven and Richard Suckle will produce through their Atlas Entertainment company, alongside Adam Kolbrenner. Andy Horwitz and Robyn Meisinger are executive producing. No production schedule was given.

Daniel Kunka most recently sold his screenplay Crime of the Century to Universal Pictures.
