Warner Bros. will spend over 100 million pounds in renovations and will create over 300 new jobs for the studio. Here's what Barry Meyer, the new Leavesden CEO had to say:

"Our multi-million pound investment in creating a state-of-the-art, permanent UK film production base further demonstrates our long-term commitment to the skills and creativity of the UK film industry."

Leavesden has been a popular choice in filming many Warner Bros. productions including Christopher Nolan's blockbusters Inception and The Dark Knight, as well as all eight Harry Potter movies including the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.

Harry Potter will also become a permanent fixture at the studio, with two brand new soundstages being built to house Harry Potter sets and memorabilia which will be open to the public for tours.

A tentative opening date for the new studio was set for Easter 2012.
