Variety reports that Warner Bros. Pictures has bought the film rights to Scott Lynch's fantasy epic The Lies of Locke Lamora for Michael De Luca and Julie Yorn to produce.

Locke Lamora, the first of a seven-book series, will be released in the U.K. in June, quickly followed by a U.S. release.

The story revolves around the adventures of a likable con artist named Locke Lamora as he and his band of followers, the Gentleman Bastards, navigate the Venice-like city of Camorr.
