Warner Bros. is planning a new action-adventure based on The Guinness Book of World Records, hiring The Office writer Daniel Chun to work on the script.

The studio plans to take some of the record-breaking events chronicled in the book, and use them in an action-adventure setting. It will likely take some time to find a narrative through-line. Basil Iwanyk, Sean Sorensen, and Matthew Cullen are producing.

The record book was spawned in 1951 by Sir Hugh Beaver, managing director of the Guinness Brewing Company, who wanted to know what Europe's fastest game bird was. With the help of fact-finders Norris and Ross McWhirter, the book's first edition was published in 1955. It was the top selling book in Britain that year.

No production schedule was given for this unique project.
