Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver are showing conviction in their latest project. According to Variety, Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures have acquired the spec script Conviction.

The script by newcomer Jonathan Herman follows a bank robber who is serving five years in prison for a heist gone bad who is approached by an FBI agent to set up his criminal protoge who is in the midst of another high-dollar heist.

The script sale is the first for Herman, who was formerly a assistant to producer Tom Sternberg and a former development executive at Canal Plus before quitting to write full-time.
