Dance of the Mirlitons has been picked up for production by Warner Independent. According to Variety, Evan Greenberg wrote the script with an eye to direct it himself.

The dark comedy revolves around an ambitious yet overweight ballerina. Her overbearing mother won't let her rest until she becomes a star. The title comes from The Nutcracker Suite.

Original Films' Neal Moritz and Tania Landau will produce the film. There is no set start date at this time.
