Wassup Rockers: According to Variety, Chris Blackwell's Palm Pictures has acquired worldwide rights to Larry Clark's Wassup Rockers, which Palm will produce.

Production will begin in Los Angeles this summer, with Fortissimo Films handling foreign sales.

Clark, who made his feature-directing bow with Kids, will feature South Central L.A. street kids in the leading roles for Wassup Rockers.

The film will follow the real-life story of a group of South Central teens who ride skateboards and listen to punk rock instead of conforming to their neighborhood's hip-hop culture.
