Director Danny Boyle was given the monumental task of directing the Opening Ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which took place last night. As part of the festivities, the filmmaker directed a short film featuring Daniel Craig in character as James Bond, who is sent to escort the Queen of England herself to the opening ceremonies. Take a look at this six-minute film, that gives us an early taste of 007 before he returns to theaters later this year with Skyfall, along with an impressive aerial tour of London.

The 2012 London Summer Olympics will be broadcast through all of NBC's networks over the next few weeks. Daniel Craig returns as James Bond in Skyfall, arriving in theaters November 9.
