According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Pictures has purchased the coming-of-age adventure The Treehouse from writers Ron Friedman and Steve Bencich. Wes Ball will make his feature directing debut on the project, which is being produced by Robert Levy, Peter Abrams and Andrew Panay of Tapestry Films.

Treehouse follows the adventures of a lonely boy who discovers a magical treehouse in his backyard and is propelled into a fantastical forest where children rule and parents are a distant memory.
