WE TV will begin a new documentary series focusing on a cross-section of girls surviving their adolescence. According to The Hollywood Reporter, High School Confidential will give an in-depth view of fourteen teenage girls, watching them as they go from freshman to graduates.

Sharon Liese has executive produced and created eight hour-long episodes; the idea came to her as her own daughter entered high school. The series will address such themes as family, religion, sex and self-image. Liese says, "The struggle to define 'self' is perhaps most apparent during the high school years. The girls profiled in our series exemplify courage as they share their most intimate challenges. The series explores this beyond just teen angst."

New Line Television and Herizon Productions are producing the series. The premiere is set for March.
