Universal Pictures has finalized a deal to adapt the upcoming novel Weaponized, which was written by Safe House writer David Guggenheim and Nicholas Mennuti. Here is the book's official description.

"Kyle West is a wanted man. Having betrayed his former boss-billionaire government contractor Christopher Chandler - Kyle's hiding in Cambodia, frantic for a way home, and finding more and more reasons to be paranoid.

In a moment of weakness, he swaps passports with a mysterious fellow American, Julian Robinson, in Cambodia on business.

David Guggenheim is writing the screenplay adaptation, with Scott Stuber producing. Weaponized is David Guggenheim's debut novel, which will be published on July 30 by Little Brown imprint Mullholland Books.
