Showtime has renewed its popular series Weeds for a fourth season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pay cable channel has ordered thirteen more episodes of the show.

The new episodes are scheduled to go into production April of 2008, but that start date may be put on hold due to the writers' strike. The half-hour sitcom stars Mary-Louise Parker as a pot-dealing widow living in the suburbs.

Weeds is currently in the middle of its third season.
