Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have just released a new trailer for their FX docu-series, Welcome to Wrexham, which chronicles the pair's purchase and managing of the Wrexham AFC, nicknamed The Red Dragons. McElhenney seized the opportunity to get a little It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia shout out while they were at it.

The two have been making news across the pond after the purchase of the team and investing £2 million ($2.6 million) in the club. Wrexham captain Shaun Pearson stated, “I’m probably similar to everyone else; at first you think: ‘Nah, no way.’ But it is potentially a big opportunity for the club. It is probably a little while off in terms of everything going through but you’d be lying if you didn’t think it was exciting. This is something that could move the club forward in quite a big way.”

The actors were spotted a match in Ocober, and the team gave the guys a hearty hello, saying, "Welcome to W̶r̶e̶x̶h̶a̶m̶ Maidenhead @RMcElhenney @VancityReynolds"

Matt responded, "We're the luckiest club in the world."

Norfolk says, "This is mental. Deadpool in Maidenhead Good title for the 3rd movie?!"

The club supporters were ecstatic! "I can't love this enough!!! Let's hope the boys put on a performance for you tonight!"

Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram to share his experience after his Red Dragons lost, saying, "Football is a staggering, heartbreaking, gorgeous, tommy-gun of soul-deadening, evil and beauty and I’m never sleeping again ever ever. @wrexham_afc @robmcelhenney"

The team responded with, "The start of a wonderful journey."

Speaking of their goals for the club, they duo explained, “Our goal is to grow the team, return it to the English Football League in front of increased attendances at an improved stadium while making a positive difference to the wider community in Wrexham.”

Reynolds continued, “We are humbled and we are already getting to work. Oh [expletive deleted] – this is really happening. We want to be at the Racecourse Ground as much as possible – as many games as I can make. We want to have a pint with the fans. You’ll be fed up of us! We want to be great ambassadors for the club, to introduce the club to the world and be a global force.”

There might be a bit of a language barrier, if this trailer is to be believed.

The official synopsis reads, "Get ready for 2 seasons of Welcome to Wrexham, a docuseries tracking the dreams and people of Wrexham, a working-class town in North Wales, UK, as two Hollywood stars take ownership of the town’s historic yet struggling football club. In 2020, Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) teamed up to purchase the team in the hopes of turning the club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The worry? Rob and Ryan have no experience in football or working with each other. That said, they are serious about their investment in Wrexham, improving the club and doing right by the townspeople. Founded in 1864, the 'Red Dragons' are one of the oldest football teams in the world and currently compete in the National League, the fifth tier of the English football league system. From Hollywood to Wales, the pitch to the locker room, the front office to the pub, Welcome to Wrexham will track Rob and Ryan’s crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town counting on two actors to bring some serious hope and change to a community that could use it."

Bring it, fellas! Ryan Reynold's and Rob McElhenney's all-new docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham, is coming in 2022 to FX.
