The Wire's Wendell Pierce has joined the indie film Four, based on Christopher Shinn's London and off-Broadway play.
According to Variety, Joshua Sanchez directs from his own script.
The $500,000 budgeted film raised development funds of $19,000 through the Kickstarter website, which funds creative endeavors through public contributions.
Four will start production Sept. 13 in and around Hartford, where the play is set.
