Former radio shock jock and talk show host Wendy Williams has gone through a series of personal battles of late and is obviously not going down without a fight. She even claims to have only $2 to her name due to a frozen bank account and relies on financial aid from friends all because Wells Fargo believes the Jersey native may require guardianship over her accounts. The controversial 57-year-old divorcee has faced ongoing health challenges and seen the cancelation of her talk show after a round of guest hosts took her place until her return.

The return never happened. In fact, one of those guest hosts, Sherri Shepherd, now finds herself in the enviable position of taking Williams’s time slot with her own new eponymous daytime series Sherri.

Williams has not only said she has no plans to watch Sherri, but she also wants to meet with her following the television personality’s calls for thoughts and prayers for Williams. Lashawn Thomas, Williams’s lawyer, told ET:

“Wendy requesting to have a sit down with Sherri to have a meeting of the minds is the perfect solution as she has no ill will or intent. Wendy is preparing to get her show back in motion.”

It all started when Williams was asked by Fat Joe on Instagram Live if she will be watching Shepherd’s show come this fall. Williams responded:

“I like her, but I won’t be watching her because I know what she’s going to be doing and that’s really not my thing. Anyway, but I love being on my own show and I love that people love to watch it all the time.”

The next day, Shepherd responded to Williams’s comments about her taking over her daytime slot during an Instagram Live of her own:

“I did hear Wendy say she will not watch me on the new show and that’s okay. You know, I understand. I’m not made at Wendy. She’s going through a lot. I would say that everyone should be praying for Wendy right now. I’m truly concerned for her because I don’t feel there’s anybody over there protecting her.”

During Williams’s conversations with Fat Joe, the rapper asked if she decided to take a break, did she just up and left her show willingly or was it a takeover? Williams replied that somebody stopped giving her money and American Express to her.
