Wes Bentley is in talks for the last vacant role in director Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Although no character details were given, insiders claim the actor plays an important supporting role.

He joins a cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin, Casey Affleck, Mackenzie Foy, John Lithgow, and yesterday's addition, Topher Grace.

Christopher Nolan is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jonathan Nolan, which is reportedly based on the scientific theories of physicist Kip S. Thorne, who believes that wormholes exist and can be used to travel through time. The story centers on a group of explorers seeking out alternate dimensions of time and space. It isn't known when production will begin.

Wes Bentley played Seneca Crane in last year's blockbuster The Hunger Games, and he will next be seen in Lovelace.
